It’s All About Alan!
Alan is a talented, young, up and coming Irish Presenter and Performer. He has performed on numerous stages in Ireland, interviewed Irish and international celebrities and continued to develop and perfect his craft in various areas of interest.
Alan has worked as a presenter and content creator with a number of media outlets over the past two years. This work included interviewing Irish and international celebrities at the IFTA’s 2018 and backstage at RTÉ’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Ireland, Season 2. More recently Alan presented during the crew rehearsal of Winning Streak, covering Marty Whelan and his own three-hour radio shows on Christmas FM in 2018.
Alan first discovered his true love of performing at the age of three when he performed for his parent’s using a coal bunker as a stage, a curling tongs as a mic and a toilet plunger for a mic stand, safe to say not much as changed.
Alan got his first taste of the spotlight while playing the leading role of Joseph in a 4th class production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat’. Since then he’s performed on numerous stages and now is pursuing a full-time career in presenting and performing.
In 2017, Alan graduated from Maynooth University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music & Economics with a 2.1 double honours degree. Whiles studying in Maynooth he became heavily involved with MU Musical Society, both on stage and behind the scenes. Performing numerous solo numbers and playing leading roles including Rodger in Rent and Teen Angel in Grease.
Since graduating university Alan has continued to develop and hone his skills having completed The Park Studio ‘TV Presenting, Production and Direction’ course with The Park studio featuring multi-camera studio presenting. This training included Masterclasses from current industry professionals as a presenter, researcher and self-editor of content. Park Studio alumni have seen much success in the industry both behind and in front of the camera, at home and abroad.
In 2018, Alan completed the NCFE accredited certificate in Radio Production with Christmas FM. This training featured live studio presenting, voice tracking, editing, working with myriad, scripting, producing & researching for radio.
Alan was a student of Westside Performing Arts for over Ten years where he studied Voice, Drama & Dance under the guidance of industry and Westend professionals including voice coach’s Brian Husband & Nicola Gainey. In 2015, Alan achieved a Diploma with distinction in Musical Theatre performance (Dip Lcm) from the London College of Music.
In December 2017 Alan founded and launched Wild Media Ireland. An Online Platform aimed at producing informative, Fun and high-quality content with the motto Think, Create, Share!
Some of Alan’s other notable credits include Presenter/Researcher with FRQ.FM and a new comedy TV show pilot, ‘Stand Up Tonight’, showcasing new and emerging Irish comedic talent, recorded in IADT.
Alan is optimistic and excited for what the future holds as he continues to strive towards his dream of entertaining, informing and sharing real-world stories.
